A great farewell weekend

So this coming weekend I leave Siouxland for Texas -- I'm moving back home to be closer to family and friends. But before I go, I got to enjoy one heck of a great (and free!) concert last weekend. Saturday in the Park was great. It was my first SITP and one to remember. I got there early to cover the first half for the Journal and I enjoyed the second half standing on a blanket near the stage, surrounded by 30,000 or so other live music lovers. I got to interview Michael Franti and Amanda Shaw, who were both really cool.

Sioux city in 1979- Homesick after 9 months in Texas -I was bored 2
weeks after I moved back but stuck in the spider web of ole Sioux City Iowa! Godspeed to you and your family on your next challenge! P.S.Hope you can keep this blog updated? (PLEASE)

Not Cool Sammy, Not Cool. I do however completely understand. Its been pretty hard for me to adjust to this town coming from the south, but being away from all the family makes it even harder. I wish you the best. Please do keep in touch. Hope your dad gets better soon.

Thanks everyone for your kind wishes! I'll definitely stay in touch via my blog. The world is so much smaller, thanks to the Internet. I've enjoyed all the conversations, photos and comments on here. Please keep contributing!
