Seems kinda silly to me

 Ran across an article online today about this fashion designer who has created a line of "designer diapers" for Pampers. The designer, Cynthia Rowley, has come up with 11 styles for both boys and girls that will be sold in Target stores and on their website. Some of the offerings for girls will include ruffles and madras. For the boys - a back diaper pocket. Is it just me, or does that seems like a dumb idea? Rowley is quoted as saying, "As a mom, I wanted other moms and dads to have more options in every part of their lives -- even diapers." I understand options are important when it comes to sizes, materials and prices - but we are talking about DIAPERS here. The kid poops in them and then they are disposed of in the trash. Plus, aren't you supposed to dress your kid in clothes, thus covering up the diaper? Also, I imagine these disposable designer diapers will be more expensive than plain white ones. To that, I say what a waste of money! Here's a thought - the extra money you would spend on these fancy Pampers, put in a college fund for your little tike. Maybe I'm being too practical, but I just think this is a silly use of resources. There are better ways to spend your extra money - that's assuming you have extra cash. Kids (I'm told) are expensive!
